About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner looking for the opportunity to help shape a growing hospital program from the ground up? We are partnered with a highly respected hospital in Bergen County, NJ that is launching a new inpatient service, and seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its founding clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside supportive physician leadership, contribute to the development of a new department, and make a meaningful impact within a collaborative hospital environment.
The base pay for this position is $95 to $100 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient care for hospitalized patients within a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute medical conditions
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care
- Document clinical encounters accurately within the electronic medical record
- Participate in the ongoing development of workflows and clinical best practices as the new service continues to grow
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes
Job Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
- Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse license
- National certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP/ACANP) or equivalent Acute Care NP certification
- Acute inpatient clinical experience required
- New graduates are not eligible for this opportunity
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
