About the Opportunity
Our client is a health organization with 40 years of experience and over 30 locations. They are in search of a Project Manager – Patient Care Applications who lives in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. The role will primarily sit remote with travel and occasional attendance at their New York office. As a member of the Practice Management Technology leadership team, the Project Manager – Patient Care Applications provides project management support related to the maintenance and enhancement of the Institute’s Epic application and associated third-party integrations.
The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Quarterly Epic upgrades, additional change control cycles and assigned projects
- Participate in or lead project planning and scheduling efforts, setting clear and feasible expectations for team members
- Coordinate and manage project activities including coordinates key Epic environment activities including updates, upgrades, and build migration, coordination of integrated testing and development of change-related training materials
- Document and communicate upcoming milestones, the status of deliverables, shared issues, and end-user community concerns
- Maintain the scope, schedule, and quality of assigned projects
- Develop new or enhance existing change control processes in addition to creating and maintaining documentation for use in infrastructure configuration, maintenance, and upgrade planning
- Ensure that key stakeholders are engaged as needed and activities are conducted per all relevant policies and procedures
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, healthcare or business administration field, or a relevant combination of education and technical
- 3 years of accountability for multiple enterprise-scale implementation or upgrade projects in healthcare settings in support of Epic or related third-party applications
- Advanced computer and internet navigational skills
- Advanced computer literacy with Windows-based operating systems and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health records (EHR) technology
- Must be willing and able to travel between sites as needed. Day trips and overnight stays are required on occasion within 100-mile radius
- Must be willing to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing and emergencies according to on-call schedules
- Occasional meetings or clinical staff interactions in patient care areas may be required
