About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated nutrition professional to join our client’s well-established private medical practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This Registered Dietitian will provide individualized nutrition counseling and education to adult patients in a supportive outpatient setting. You will work closely with physician leadership and interdisciplinary staff to develop comprehensive, evidence-based care plans. This position reports directly to senior medical leadership and offers autonomy within a structured clinical environment.
The estimated base pay for this position is $38 to $45 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Part-time
- Flexible weekday scheduling
- Some Saturday hours preferred
- Some evening availability preferred
- Occasional travel (approximately once per month) to additional NYC/Long Island locations for educational presentations
Job Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one medical nutrition therapy (in-person and telehealth)
- Develop individualized nutrition intervention plans using evidence-based guidelines
- Counsel patients managing diabetes, prediabetes, and cardiometabolic conditions
- Deliver patient education on preventive health, weight management, and chronic disease
- Document visits thoroughly using EMR and standardized nutrition care processes
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on integrated care plans
- Lead occasional group workshops or wellness presentations
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential (required)
- New York State Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nutrition experience
- Experience using telehealth platforms
- Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to groups
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
