About the Opportunity
Our client, an established physician-led cancer care practice in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Hematologist-Oncologist to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice comprehensive hematology and oncology in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with access to advanced treatments, modern technology, and a strong referral network. The annual salary range is $500,000 to $550,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine and current oncology guidelines
- Provide ongoing management for patients undergoing cancer treatment and survivorship care
- Review laboratory findings, pathology reports, diagnostic imaging, and molecular testing results
- Collaborate with specialists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and primary care providers to coordinate comprehensive care
- Participate in treatment planning discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care resources
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in occasional hospital-based patient management as needed
Job Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
- Eligible for unrestricted New York medical licensure
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
