Hematologist-Oncologist

About the Opportunity

Our client, an established physician-led cancer care practice in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Hematologist-Oncologist to join its growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice comprehensive hematology and oncology in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with access to advanced treatments, modern technology, and a strong referral network. The annual salary range is $500,000 to $550,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medicine and current oncology guidelines
  • Provide ongoing management for patients undergoing cancer treatment and survivorship care
  • Review laboratory findings, pathology reports, diagnostic imaging, and molecular testing results
  • Collaborate with specialists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and primary care providers to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Participate in treatment planning discussions and multidisciplinary case reviews
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and supportive care resources
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Participate in occasional hospital-based patient management as needed

 

Job Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
  • Eligible for unrestricted New York medical licensure
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
