About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established, family-oriented multi-specialty medical practice with deep roots in the Essex County, NJ area, is looking for an energetic, hands-on Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory setting and enjoys building real relationships with patients and staff alike. This practice is known for delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care and has been recognized for its clinical excellence.
The annual base salary range is $85,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a busy outpatient clinic, ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow
- Provide direct clinical support to physicians and Physician Assistants as needed
- Perform post-operative care, including suture removal
- Serve as a key liaison between physicians, staff, and patients — resolving issues with a calm, solutions-oriented approach
- Supervise and support clinic staff in partnership with the Department Administrator
- Assist with recruitment, training, staff development, performance evaluations, and clinical competency/re-certification tracking
- Monitor patient-related statistics and coordinate room and resource utilization
- Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures to meet evolving departmental and patient needs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Department of Health regulations
- Lead or participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives
- Prepare operational, fiscal, or patient care reports as needed
- Represent the department on relevant committees
- Attend ongoing training and departmental meetings
- Communicate clearly and accurately with patients, staff, and providers throughout a physically active workday
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Emergency Room (ER) experience required (prior experience welcome, even if not recent)
- 2+ years of clinical management or supervisory experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English required
- A high-energy, hands-on approach and comfort working across multiple locations
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment
