About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-respected, mission-driven healthcare organization in New York City that is dedicated to serving individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS, substance use, and homelessness, through compassionate, judgment-free care. They are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant across two of their Manhattan locations, focused on delivering Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and addiction medicine services, including on-site harm reduction and syringe access programs.
The annual base salary range is $120,000 to $165,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams and assess medical and psychosocial histories
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including MAT with buprenorphine
- Order and interpret laboratory tests as part of comprehensive health management
- Provide patient education and counseling to support informed health decisions
- Collaborate with a supportive, multidisciplinary care team and refer out as needed
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing continuing education
Job Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Experience or strong knowledge of addiction medicine and MAT
- Buprenorphine waiver preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with eClinicalWorks EHR a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus, but not required
