About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nurse Director to join our client’s esteemed healthcare organization. As the Nurse Director for their Medsurg/Telemetry department, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of dedicated nurses, ensuring exceptional patient care and driving operational excellence.
The annual base salary range is $125,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Medsurg/Telemetry unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
- Oversee the daily operations, including staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes, streamline processes, and achieve departmental goals
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and organizational guidelines
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting professional growth and development of nursing staff
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies for enhancing patient satisfaction and outcomes
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in nursing practices, technology, and healthcare regulations, and integrate them into the department’s operations
Job Requirements
- Must be a licensed RN in the state of NY
- Minimum of 2 years of nurse leadership experience in a hospital setting
- Strong knowledge of current nursing practices, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement methodologies
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure
