About the Opportunity
Our client, a community-focused healthcare organization in Brooklyn, is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide strategic leadership and direction for its nursing team. This role focuses on promoting high-quality, patient-centered care while fostering professional development, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance within the nursing department.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff and clinical support teams to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, protocols, and evidence-based best practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational healthcare regulations and quality standards
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations for nursing personnel
- Manage nursing resources, including supplies, inventory, and vaccines, to support clinical operations
- Collaborate closely with physicians, administrators, and other care providers to streamline workflows and enhance patient outcomes
- Participate in organizational initiatives and take on additional leadership tasks as assigned by senior leadership
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Significant nursing experience, preferably with leadership or management responsibilities
- Strong clinical knowledge and familiarity with healthcare operations in community or primary care settings
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor staff and promote a collaborative, high-performing team environment
