About the Opportunity
Our client, a global financial technology leader, is seeking multiple Trading Operations Analysts to join their operations team in either Austin, TX or New York City. This key function supports the firm’s trading activities by managing and optimizing trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation processes. The role offers significant cross-functional exposure working with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, custodians, and clients, as well as the opportunity to partner with engineering teams to further automate and enhance operational workflows.
The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clearance, settlement, and reconciliation of trades and positions across global markets
- Ensure accuracy of firm books and records and timely resolution of exceptions
- Collaborate with internal teams (traders, finance, compliance), as well as external parties (brokers, custodians, clients) to coordinate trade logistics and minimize operational risk
- Analyze data and provide insights to optimize operational efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with software engineers to design and automate new systems and operational controls
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives and projects
- Deliver precise and timely communication to both internal and external stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative field (Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering) strongly preferred
- 1–3 years of professional work experience (recent graduates will be considered)
- Proficiency with SQL and Python required
- Outstanding quantitative and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and priorities
- Strong initiative, motivation, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Flexible approach, positive attitude, and eagerness to contribute to a dynamic, team-oriented environment
